Since Leyla Piedayesh founded lala Berlin in 2004, the brand has gained recognition for it’s cool and feminine look. lala Berlin came to Diligent when they required a new and engaging site that reflected their unique urban spirit.

New templates were created for the Home and Collections pages, allowing the ecommerce team to personalise every element and showcase lala Berlin’s beautiful editorial photography. Customers are now able to shop the curated Collections without leaving the page, creating an undisruptive shopping experience.
Our key objective was to enhance the shopping experience, ensuring it matched the ease and elegance of lala Berlin’s products. We created a new sitemap that allowed customers to reach products with fewer clicks than before, reducing friction. Additionally, we introduced important UX elements that were missing from the previous site, such as the quick search in the navigation and filtering/sort by options on the category pages.
Mobile has become an increasingly popular way for lala Berlin to engage with their customers. We optimised the site across all forms of tech, ensuring quick loading times on all platforms. To bridge the gap between ecommerce and social, we introduced a live Instagram feed, allowing the brand to easily promote their engaging Instagram content.
One week after launch, the Diligent team won a CSS Design Award for our work on lala Berlin, before going on to win an Honouree Webby Award.
