Senior Front-End Developer

Diligent Commerce is an ecommmerce agency based in Shoreditch. We produce innovative, creative websites for fashion, luxury and lifestyle brands. Our clients include Eastpak, Wrangler, Dickies, Mackintosh, Lee and House Of Hackney.

We have just taken on some exciting new clients and are looking to have a senior front-end developer with Magento experience to join our growing team.


Until now all development has been completed by our offshore technical partners so — at least to begin with — you will be our lone in house developer. As such you will need to be confident in your ability to manage yourself and work with outsourced developers across Github and Slack. In the near future, you will be required to help spearhead a nascent in house technical team.


The successful applicant would be responsible for one big budget Magento project at a time. They would either from work from start to finish or by completing the more bespoke pages and handing over to our outsourced front-enders to finish off the more standard templates. They would work hand in glove with our designers to ensure these websites were delivered to pixel perfect standards.

Secondly, they would help us finesse the output of our outsourced front-enders. Either by working directly with the designers to help clean up any lingering rough edges or by helping the project managers communicate QA tickets in a technically friendly way.

Finally, in between Magento projects, we’d like them to help us expand our Shopify front. No Shopify experience is necessary as we’re only taking our first tentative steps but a willingness to learn would be important.

As an agency that specialises in working with luxury brands, we are looking for someone who is comfortable executing elaborate and complex designs that match the Sketch files and respond smoothly across all resolutions. And as well as a keen attention to detail we’d love to have someone who’s able to add their own creative flourishes or suggestions.
